What does the capability “Precise Laser Cutting” include?

GTI Medical performs laser cutting with extremely high precision, starting from ±5 microns (0.005 mm). This level of accuracy is suitable for a variety of applications such as implants, surgical tools, and delicate medical components requiring high manufacturing precision.

Which materials can be processed with precise laser cutting?

The technology supports precise cutting of complex parts and components made from thin tubes and metal sheets, including various types of Stainless steel, Nitinol, Titanium, Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Tungsten, Nickel Alloy, Carbon steels and additional materials commonly used in the medical device and aerospace industries.

What are the advantages of laser cutting compared to other processing technologies?

Laser cutting is highly focused and accurate. The “tool” is a laser beam approximately 15-20 microns in diameter, enabling high accuracy, clean cutting edges and minimal distortion. This capability allows the processing of very small and delicate parts.

Can laser welding also be performed?

Yes, certainly. GTI Medical also offers laser welding of metal components for the medical and Aerospace industries, including welding of complex materials such as Nitinol, Titanium, PH Stainless steels and more – while preserving the material properties and the strength of the joint.

Does the company provide engineering support during development?

Absolutely. GTI Medical’s engineering team supports the customer from the initial R&D stage through production definition to ensure an accurate and efficient outcome.

Can prototypes be produced before serial manufacturing?

Yes. The company also specializes in producing precise prototypes as part of the development process for medical and other types of products.

Which standards and certifications does the company comply with?

GTI Medical operates according to strict international quality standards, including ISO 13485 for medical device manufacturing and ISO 9001.

What size or thickness range can be cut using laser technology?

The technology supports extremely precise cutting of small and thin components starting from materials 10 microns thick up to 2.5 mm, depending on the material type.

Can laser cutting be combined with other processing methods?

Yes. The company integrates laser cutting with laser welding, surface finishing, Electro-Polishing, cleaning, and machining to provide a complete solution under one roof.  Also are doing Turn-Key project including assembly in the clean room.

How can I receive more information or a quotation?
